The right way to use it is to make your purchases on the card and pay off the bill in full every cycle. That way you dont pay interest of fees but got to use their money for a month or so. You do not want to leave a balance on your card. If you dont think you will be able to pay off your card in full every month dont use one. You need to have your finances in order before you can be trusted with a little peace of plastic that can ruin your life if your not careful. If your not careful credit card debt can overtake your life and make things very difficult for you.

Get a credit card with no fees and pays cash back. Use it to pay for the things you are already going to pay for, food gas, utilities, ect. Completely pay off CC each month and collect your cash back rewards. Do not put anything on the CC you do not already have the money to pay for. Carrying a balance on a CC, or any debt for that matter, makes you a slave.

    Well said, gentlemen. Let’s review.

    (1) Pay your credit card bill off in full every month. If you cannot do that, get rid of it.

    (2) If you can do that, get yourself a rebate card and have them pay you for using the card. Just be wise in what you buy.

    (3) It’s the person using the credit card that matters, not the stupid piece of plastic. Fix YOU and your credit will come along for the ride!

Never buy on credit for something you cannot pay off the same month without skipping paying for normal household expenses. If you purchase expensive items on credit and don’t pay off credit card every month you bury yourself in debt and get a poor credit rating.

You should live below your means. Only use the credit card to build a good credit score by paying off the card every month in full. The wrong way to use a credit card is to spend beyond your capabilities to pay off in full every month or to make the least payment available on the amount of the bill because you will pay interest more than 20 times the cost of the original purchase buy paying the least payment on the bill. It will bury you in debt with a bad credit rating.
