The fulfillment curve can help a person understand the negative affects of materialism on one’s life. How?

The fulfillment curve helps us to identify when we have “enough.” This amount can look different for everyone, but if we continue to seek more and more and more after we already have enough, we will take a ride on the down-slope of the curve to UNhappiness. So, as opposed to buying more and spending more to “make us happy” after we have enough, we ought to give our time, possessions and money to those who need it more.

Beautifully stated, Nate. Well done. You can learn on this topic by reading Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez and/or my book, Financial Happine$$.
