Selling “sex” is nothing new in advertising. Selling a sports “heroes” or a celebrity is also old hat in the business. Explain? What is your defense?

Advertisements use sex, sports “heroes”, and celebrities to sell their product/service. For instance, when you watch a commercial, are the people featured in the commercial somebody nobody knows or a “sexy” man/woman, a sports “hero”, and/or a celebrity? It is usually the latter. This is because advertisers know that having a famous/sexy person on their advertisement will make more people want that product/service. People who understand advertisements don’t fall for it!

You hit this one out of the park, Katherine. Well done! Here is a bit of trivia for you. Arnold Schwarzenegger was recently paid $3 Million dollars for a Bud Light commercial. They got their aging sports “hero” and celebrity all in one.

How do you think they can afford to pay him $3 Million dollars?
