    The monthly payment mentality is when you think about a purchase based on how much it’s going to cost you each month (the monthly payment). Instead, you should think about a purchase based on the total amount of money you’re going to pay for whatever item it is that you are buying. Also, if you’re thinking about buying something and you’re going to have to make payments in order to purchase that item, you probably don’t need it and obviously can’t afford it!
