The fulfillment curve tells us when to stop. What word is used to make this point and where are your energies redirected because of it?

  1. Katherine Graham says:

Enough. Once you have enough, giving is where your energies should be redirected.

  2. Mike Finley says:

    Right again, Katherine. Let’s recap.

The Fulfillment curve described beautifully in the book, Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez, describes the connection dealing with our spending and our personal fulfillment in life. As you go through life meeting your basic needs and buying a few extra’s you will be provided the opportunity to stop at some point and say ENOUGH (you have enough stuff and enough money). Nobody will tell you when this point comes, YOU must identify it when the time is right.

What happens if you don’t? You end up spending more money chasing after more stuff (and more money) that will bring you less fulfillment in your life, not more. Learning when to say ENOUGH will provide you the chance to redirect your energies to giving rather than consuming. Giving will open up a world of personal fulfillment that more stuff will never do and could never do. Believe it!
