Evaluating your “success” in life by the “stuff” you own is a recipe for unhappiness and resentment. Why? Alternatives?

Because you will have a lot of debt and stress, as you chase after something that doesn’t exist. People who live like this are making minimum payments on their credit cards so they can show the world how “successful” they are based on what they wear, what they drive, and where they live. Instead, you should buy what you need and maybe a few things that you want (if you have the cash to pay for them).

Well said, Katherine! Once we stop identifying who we are by the “stuff” we own we find a different perspective on life. We find freedom. Freedom from being owned by our possessions. Find that freedom, and you will find YOU. Focus your efforts on simply being grateful for what you have. You have plenty. You have ENOUGH.
