What does Warren Buffett recommend the average person do when it comes to investing their hard earned money?

  1. Katherine Graham says:

NEVER attempt to time the market, invest in index mutual funds, and ignore the “experts”.

  2. Mike Finley says:

You are correct, Katherine. Here is a quote from the greatest investor of our day: Most investors, both institutional and individual, will find the best way to own common stocks is through an index fund that charges minimal fees. Those following this path are sure to beat the net results (after fees and expenses) delivered by the great majority of investment professionals. – Warren Buffett

Now if that isn’t good enough, go watch his comments on a video right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idr6c8NHuWs

So what are we to take away from this discussion? The next time someone in or around your life is telling you to invest in this hot thing or that “amazing” stock, pause and think. Are you going to take their advice or the advice of Warren Buffett, the greatest investor of our time? A pretty silly question don’t you think? Follow Warren’s advice just as I do. Time and patience will provide you the positive returns AFTER costs that you desire.
