Why should a person become financially literate? Tell me what you think, I want to hear it.

I think that a person should become financially literate because without understanding money and finances you will have a very hard time being controlled by your money. I read a study saying that 74% of people live paycheck to paycheck. A lot of these people are very stressed by this and because of this situation they are not anywhere near as happy as they could be. If they understood money and everything that goes along with it they would be able to take the paychecks they earn and be able to save some and be able to retire sooner.

A lot of people think that having money will make them happier. Money for a lot of people is something they need to get rid of quickly because they do not understand how to use it. After becoming financially literate, these people who buy things in the hopes of being happy may be able to be happy without all of those things they thought would bring them happiness.

Beautifully stated, Thomas. I have nothing to add.
