Investing in life insurance is a terrible idea, because of high costs. Also, you should avoid “experts” whenever possible (when investing). If you were to invest in life insurance, you would have to talk to a life insurance agent. Life insurance agents will take way more from you than they provided in services. When it comes to investing, you should stick with no-load index mutual funds.

Outstanding, Katherine. The high fees and high commissions that go with policies like whole life, traditional life, and variable life make them very poor investments. If you need life insurance, get term. If you need a good investment, go with those boring no-load index mutual funds just like Katherine stated. The facts are indisputable when you are ready to accept them. Accept them!
