Impulse purchases can sabotage a person’s financial future. How can a person avoid this very real problem?

  1. Katherine Graham says:

A person can avoid this problem by waiting 30 days before buying anything that is not a basic need. If, after 30 days, you still want the item and you have the cash to pay for it, purchase it. Another great way to avoid making impulse purchases is to build your self-esteem. Lastly, it is important to pay yourself first. You can set up an automatic payment that goes to your savings account, Roth IRA, etc. Pay yourself first, then you can spend whatever is left (after paying all of your bills, of course).

You said it all, Katherine. Master YOU, and the universe is yours.
