NEVER share the monthly payment you believe you can afford to pay when buying a car with a car salesman. He or she will work you over pretty good to get that information. Why? Once they have it, they find “creative” ways to get you into the vehicle you want. They do this by lengthening the loan, changing the age of the vehicle, and quite possibly adding extras that make money for THEM at your expense. Here is the bottom line: If you are considering a vehicle loan, know what you can afford to pay per month, but NEVER tell the salesperson no matter how many times they ask. Never!
